Gianna Santoro is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and is foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With extensive experience running support groups and providing psychotherapy, she works with adults of all ages, but is especially passionate about supporting older adults. Gianna recognizes the unique challenges older adults face, such as grief, retirement, life transitions, and isolation, and helps them build resilience, foster connection, and regain a sense of purpose in this stage of life. Gianna works with clients ages 16+ virtually and in person.

Gianna’s therapeutic expertise includes working with depression, anxiety, life transitions, disordered eating, self-esteem, relationship conflict, and attachment issues. Her trauma-informed approach ensures that participants feel heard and understood, while her DBT training helps participants develop practical tools to manage distress and improve emotional regulation. Gianna’s goal is to empower individuals to heal and build stronger connections within themselves and their communities.
In her support groups, Gianna provides an inviting environment where participants can connect with others who share similar struggles. She believes that groups offer profound benefits, including reducing feelings of loneliness, offering different perspectives, and providing a space for mutual support and growth.
