About Katherine
Katherine has extensive experience in group therapy and mental health education, and she is especially passionate about supporting those who have experienced trauma. Katherine understands the struggle of coping with trauma, and the deep healing that can come from connection in a supportive environment. Katherine is adept at fostering safe, non-judgmental conversations that encourage participants to develop coping strategies, connect with other people who truly understand, and support one another in meaningful ways.
Katherine is an advanced clinician with years of experience working with individuals and groups to treat a wide array of mental health disorders. Katherine’s area of expertise lies in treating anxiety and panic, complex trauma, relational trauma, PTSD, and grief. She is foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and she is trained in the Flash Technique to help reprocess distressing memories. Katherine received her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. She has worked in outpatient hospital settings treating mental health disorders providing group and individual therapy, and she actively maintains an individual psychotherapy practice.
